Who We Are
College of Alameda is committed to student success, and we know that physical and mental well-being are essential components of student learning. Our team of nurses, certified acupuncturists, massage therapists, psychotherapists, and paraprofessional healthcare staff are here to provide supportive, friendly, and professional preventive and ongoing care.
Students can access nursing services, acupuncture, massage therapy, and mental health counseling, HIV testing, first aid, health Information, eye exam vouchers, condoms, pregnancy tests, and over the counter medical supplies, at no cost. Most services are accessed in F-105.
To get connected with a counselor contact Evan Schloss, Health Services Coordinator in room F-105. You can also call him at 510-748-2320 or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please provide him with your name, contact information, and days and times that you are free to see a counselor.
The best way to schedule an acupuncture or massage therapy appointment is to go to ccwellness.info and sign up online. Acupuncture and massage appointments are scheduled from 9-1:30 on Wednesdays.
College of Alameda is currently in the process of hiring nursing staff. If you need to access non-emergent medical services the Peralta Wellness Center at Laney College is available to all Peralta students. The Wellness Center is located on the 4th floor of the Laney student Center, room SC-410. They are open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-5. (510) 464-3134.
All services are free of charge to enrolled students. All enrolled students pay an $18 health fee each semester that is used to fund health services. There are no additional costs to students.
